Biogas for farmers
Sistema.bio is transforming organic waste into biogas and biofertilisers. Their biogas digesters help 400 million smallholder farmers worldwide to meet domestic energy and biofertilizer needs. It helps them generate savings and increase yields and incomes while reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The health benefits for farmer households are significant too, as they can use biogas instead of expensive and toxic kerosene or wood fire to cook on.

Solar systems come in all shapes and sizes, meeting other's needs as fits. Solar home systems for households, such as UpOwa offers, enable families in rural areas of Cameroon to light a solar lamp after nightfall, have access to information through radio or TV, and charge a phone. No wonder solar home systems were in high demand during the COVID pandemic.

Redavia offers solar power plant leasing services to companies in Ghana and Kenya. How do businesses in sub-Saharan Africa benefit from solar energy? Lendahand had the opportunity to visit Redavia’s current biggest solar power plant in Kenya. The plant reduces operational costs and increases productivity and investments in infrastructure. It enhanced a ripple effect of sustainable growth and job creation.
